There’s so much on this cake. Hailey celebrated her 13th birthday with a bunch of her good friends and her favorite things. I loved when her Mom sent pictures of Hailey at her party and the cake surrounded by all the things we made for the cake: a Victoria’s Secret hatbox, a Juicy shopping bag, a Hello Kitty wallet, a Tiffany & Co. ring box, a Jamba Juice smoothie, a Justin Beiber wristband, a U.S. Kid’s Golf ball, a Nordstrom sign, a Love Pink sign, and a Starbuck’s Coffee sign.

And these notes from Hailey and her Mom are just too sweet:

The cake is so amazing! I love it soooooooooo much! You are an AWESOME baker! You made all the objects just like they are in real life! The golf ball is amazing and I just want to make a swing at it right now! You made my 13th birthday UN-REAL! Thanks again ~ Hailey:)

Just wanted to thank you again from the bottom of my heart, the cake was terrific!!!! All the girls freaked out and just couldn’t believe how amazing the cake was. Everyone was taking pictures of it! Are you ready for the Oscars tonight? We made this a while ago for the annual charity fundraising dinner of the local San Jose chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Xi Xi Lambda. The women’s philanthropic group held a “Lights, Camera, Action” party so we decorated a cake for their theme. A delicious butter cake with vanilla buttercream was draped in white fondant and decorated with movie cameras, director’s boards, film reels, and black and white stars.

Now get ready to roll out the red carpet and watch the stars.

This cheery spring cake was made for my Mom’s birthday when my aunt came to visit from Guam. Mom loves butterflies and flowers, and the bees fit right in with the scene.

Noah celebrated turning one with his favorite things. This colorful cake in blue, yellow, and red has a bunch of sports balls on the tiers and popping out of the cake. And the characters from Jack’s Big Music Show top the party cake.

After the party we received this note from his mom, Vanessa:

The cake was a HUGE hit! Thank you so much. It was exactly what we wanted and more. And everyone LOVED the mexican hot chocolate =)

I must admit that’s my favorite flavor, too. Happy Birthday Noah!

Have you been bitten by the Twilight bug? I have friends that have read all the books and seen the midnight showings of all the movies. Twilight fans are real superfans, wildly excited when they talk about everything Twilight.

I would have loved seeing all the girls howling over Hailey’s 12th birthday party. They had Edward and Jacob life size cutouts, Twilight Sweethearts candy, Team Edward and Team Jacob pops, and of course, the Twilight cake. You’ll recognize elements of the book covers represented on the cake, except Hailey wanted the picture of Edward and Bella instead of the apple. The sight of Edward and Bella makes up for the missing apple, right?

You know we appreciate receiving these notes after the party from Hailey and her mom:

I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t this sophisticated when I turned 21. Jordan celebrated 21 in style with this fun Martini topsy-turvy tiered cake designed like the invitations to the party with artistic martini glasses, diamonds, hearts, and red and yellow baubles.

Fabulous Cakes for Fabulous People

I look at this colorful cheerful cake and can’t help hearing the Sesame Street song in my head. “Sunny day sweepin’ the clouds away. On my way to where the air is sweet. Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Maison Street?” I wonder if that’s how they sang it at the party.

And can you imagine the cute little 2-years-old that received the cake? I love making festive cakes for little kids, remembering what made my childhood special, too.
